Last chance to register for the EITI Global Conference

The 5th EITI Global Conference is around the corner. Don’t miss your chance to be there.  The deadline for registrations is 15 February 2011. We urge all stakeholders wishing to attend the conference to register their participation online at www.eitiparis.org as soon as possible.

With more than 600 registered participants, the conference looks set to become the highest profile event in the EITI history. The response from invited speakers has been strong. More than sixty leaders from governments (including heads of state), extractive companies, civil society and international organisations will share their experiences with the EITI and reflect on the future of revenue transparency.  With five plenary sessions and ten executive sessions, the conference offers an agenda that captures the key debates around EITI implementation and natural resource governance.

Special events such as the national EITI exhibition will offer conference participants a unique opportunity to improve their understanding about the countries implementing the EITI. The exhibition will be open to visitors throughout the two days of the conference and exhibitors will present EITI reports, photos, documentaries and other EITI highlights. We strongly encourage delegates to spend time getting to know the EITI through engaging in conversations with representatives from the 33 EITI implementing countries who will be present at the country stands.
