Registration for the EITI Global Conference has opened

The countdown to the next EITI Global Conference 2-3 March 2011 has started and EITI stakeholders from around the world are now invited to register their participation at the conference online. The EITI Global Conference is the highest level of EITI Governance and will select a new Board and consider major policy issues.  It will also be an opportunity to discuss the impact of the EITI, share lessons learnt and address future challenges for the EITI.  With a number of high level speakers already having confirmed their attendance - including 3 Heads of State and 2 CEOs -  the fifth EITI Global Conference in Paris will be the  highest profile event in EITI’s history.

Having registered, you will be entitled to attend all the plenary sessions, executive sessions and other meetings running throughout the two days of the conference. For the first time at this Conference, there will also be an EITI National Exhibition where all countries implementing the EITI will present and explain how the EITI process works in their countries.

To take advantage of this opportunity, we recommend stakeholders to register early at www.eitiparis.org/registration. Please note that registration is a requirement for participation at the conference. All registered participants will receive regular conference updates with the most recent programme, list of speakers and conference news.

For more information about the conference, please visit www.eitiparis.org.
