Invitation to the EITI Members' meeting

The EITI Board is pleased to announce that a meeting of the EITI Members will be held on 1 March 2011, at 16:00 at OECD Conference Centre, 2, rue André Pascal, Paris. Papers for the 2nd EITI Members Meeting are available for download.

Under Agenda item 2 - Chair reports on activities and plans, followed by discussion, the Chair will present the EITI Progress Report 2009-2011 [French], the audited accounts for 2009 and 2010, and the EITI Workplan 2011.

At the EITI Members' meeting, which is held in connection with the biennial EITI Global Conference,  the three constituency groups within the EITI - countries (implementing and supporting), companies (including institutional investors) and civil society organisations - meet to appoint the EITI Board for the next two years.

In preparation of the EITI Members's meeting, the EITI Board has recommended each constituency to:

  1. Appoint a lead individual on the nomination process by 31 October;
  2. Agree a process for selection by 30 November;
  3. Inform the International Secretariat of the agreed selection process by 7 December;
  4. Nominate individuals for the Board by 31 January.

Questions relating to the constituency processes to select Board members can be directed to Eddie Rich, Deputy Head of the EITI Secretariat. Members who wish to take part in the meeting must give notice to the EITI Secretariat by 25 February.
