Mr Shahmar MOVSUMOV

On May 15, 2006 Shahmar Movsumov was appointed Executive Director of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the decision of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.  He graduated from the Faculty of International Economic Relations of Moscow State University of International Relations. He received his Master degree in Public Administration from the Harvard University John Kennedy School of Government. Up to his appointment as Executive Director of the State Oil Fund Mr. Movsumov held a post of the General Director of the National Bank.  He chairs National Committee on Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI).  

He speaks English, French and Turkish languages.
