Anvil Mining

Operating in these EITI implementing countries:

From Anvil Mining's statement of support to the EITI:

The Company will continue to optimise its position as a catalytic partner in the development of the mining industry, our host communities and the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo. This goes further than being an agent for attracting foreign investment and creating economic activity with its associated benefits. Effective macro-economic management at the highest levels underpins the long-term success or failure of individual mine developments. We are therefore aligned with and fully endorse the EITI principles and believe it to be a mechanism which will directly contribute to the Country’s wider development objectives.

Ultimately, it is for national governments to decide whether or not to become signatories to the EITI; however we are unequivocal in our support of good governance, equity to civil society and the improvement of livelihoods through a just and socially responsible approach to resource development. We feel that such an initiative can only serve to add value to a developing nation by increasing the attractiveness of the country as an investment destination and improving the reputation of the industry and the country.
