Avocet has become a Supporting Company of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI). The EITI is a coalition of governments, companies and civil society which sets a global standard for managing the transparency of revenues from natural resources. The EITI standard is implemented by governments in resource-rich countries through the verification and full publication of company payments and government revenues from oil, gas, and mining. Supporting Companies take part in the global governance of the initiative, through their country operations in implementing countries, and through industry associations. Burkina Faso and Guinea are EITI Candidate countries. Mali is an EITI Compliant country
