EITI Global Conference in Sydney 2013

A global forum convening world leaders to discuss governance of natural resources

Today is the final day of the 6th EITI Global Conference. It focuses on how transparency and the EITI is leading to change in the 39 implementing countries. The new EITI Standard has been agreed and launched, ensuring more transparency in the years ahead. The conference theme is ‘Beyond Transparency’.

The EITI National Expo

The EITI National Expo will take place alongside the Global Conference. Representatives from EITI implementing countries will showcase their activities and achievements, including EITI Reports, videos, brochures, posters and other materials that are being used to inform and engage citizens. Representatives from national EITI secretariats will be available to answer questions and outline their plans for the future of their EITI.

The International Mining and Development Conference

On the eve of the EITI Global Conference, the Australian International Mining for Development Centre will host an International Mining for Development Conference on 20-21 May 2013 at the SMC Conference and Function Centre, located in the heart of Sydney CBD.
