Job Announcement: Communications Officer

The EITI International Secretariat (EITI-IS), based in Oslo, Norway, is now recruiting a Communications Officer. Communications is a key part of the activities of the EITI-IS. It communicates with a broad range of stakeholders including governments, oil/gas/mining companies, civil society organisations, citizens and media in the 35 countries that are currently implementing the EITI standard.

Invitation to tender: Proposal for EITI rating scheme

The EITI International Secretariat seeks applications from suitably qualified service providers to develop a proposal for a rating scheme for the EITI standard. The EITI sets a global standard for transparency in the extractive industries.  It supports improved governance in resource-dependent countries through the verification and full publication of company payments and government revenues from oil, gas and mining. Job Announcement: Regional Director (Asia) at the EITI International Secretariat

The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) International Secretariat, based in Oslo, Norway, is now recruiting a Regional Director to cover the Asia region. Duties Regional Directors take responsibility to coordinate EITI activities, both directly by the International Secretariat and through partners, in a portfolio of countries. At present, the EITI is being implemented in 35 countries and several other countries are expected to join in the near future.

Request for Expression of Interest - Administrator of the 1st and 2nd EITI reports for Afghanistan

The Government of Afghanistan has received a grant from the World Bank to support the development of the natural resources sector and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultancy services. At this time, the MoM is seeking to identify firms and agencies to strengthening in Afghanistan; the extractive (mining, oil & gas) sector is expected to contribute a significant and growing proportion of Government revenues for country’s development.
