Bernardo Lesser Hiriart
Technical Secretary EITI Mexico
Bernardo is advisor at the Under Secretariat for Hydrocarbons at the Ministry of Energy. Since September 2016 he has been the Technical Secretary of the Mexico’s EITI process. He has a broad experience in the public sector, at federal and local levels, in issues related to environmental policies, legislation and regulation.
Lesser Hiriart is a Civil Engineer from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and has postgraduate studies in Engineering from the École Nationale des Travaux Publics de l’Etat in France and in Environmental and Sustainability Law from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and the Universidad de Alicante.
In the private sector he has worked as a consultant on issues related to waste management, environmental impact assessment and renewable energies.
