Chiugo supports the Francophone Africa team with validations and improvements to EITI implementation in francophone West African countries.
Prior to joining the EITI Secretariat, Chiugo worked as a translator in the ECOWAS Commission in Abuja, and as a financial reporter on community financing. She also has experience with AREVA, where she worked on the French – Chinese nuclear relationship, and worked as a consultant with CEA Consultancy and Translation Services.
Chiugo holds a Masters in International Energy from Sciences Po and a joint B.A. from Sciences Po and Renmin University of China. Her interests include gender mainstreaming for inclusive sustainable development and Chinese investment in Africa’s energy sector. She is fluent in English, French and Chinese.
