María Dolores Vallenilla

Maria Dolores is a Policy Officer that advises on gender, social and environmental impact, local governance and manages the “Engaging local communities in a just transition through EITI implementation” project.

Prior to joining the EITI, María Dolores worked on social and gender issues around extractives. Most notably, while working at the Inter-American Bank, she assisted the Mining and Energy Ministry in Colombia in developing the Gender and Extractives Policy and has worked as a consultant for the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank, Deloitte and the United Nations Foundation on gender issues and mining policy.

María Dolores has a BA in Law from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and a masters in International Development from The George Washington University.
