Laura Rópolo is the Undersecretary of Mining Development of the Secretariat of Mining of the Ministry of Productive Development of the Nation and EITI leader.

Previously, she held technical public management positions in the Government of the Province of San Juan, associated with public-private articulation in the economy in general (Ministry of Production 1995-1999 and Development Agency 2008-2015) and in mining in particular (Ministry of Mining 2015-2018).

Laura Rópolo is an economist, graduated from the National University of Córdoba, specialised in Competitiveness, Sustainability and Territorial Innovation. She completed a postgraduate degree in Statistics applied to research at the same university, and a master’s degree in organizational management (specialising in Finance) at the University of Valparaiso, Chile.

She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and has been a researcher in economic policy and development for more than 25 years. She is also an active member of the United Nations Subnational Competitiveness Network.
