Naadira Ogeer

Naadira Ogeer is an economic adviser in the Commonwealth Secretariat’s Ocean and Natural Resources Advisory Division. She has over 20 years’ experience in the energy and extractives sector and advises Governments in sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean and Pacific.
Her work is focused on supporting developing countries on good governance and navigating the energy transition to ensure that the petroleum and mining sectors contribute to sustainable development. She provides technical assistance in policy formulation, decarbonization strategies, fiscal regimes, regulatory framework and for strengthening national institutions. Naadira is also involved in various international forums to foster knowledge-sharing, promote best practices and develop frameworks for a just, inclusive and equitable energy transition.
