Contract transparency week
7 - 11 December 2020
EITI is organising a Contract Transparency Week, 7 - 11 December 2020. This week will serve to help countries implement reforms and activities related to contract disclosure ahead of the 1 January 2021 deadline on contract transparency outlined in Requirement 2.4.
A public, high-level webinar will take place on Wednesday, 9 December. There will also be regional webinars throughout the week and a partners roundtable on Friday. The aim is to highlight progress in contract transparency, share best practices and lessons learned, provide support to countries and strengthen political commitment to contract transparency.

Regional webinar, Francophone Africa (only in French)
The webinar will address the importance of contract transparency for good governance in the extractive industry, Requirement 2.4 and its interpretation, solutions to overcome barriers to disclosure, and contract analysis.
Regional webinar, Latin American and the Carribean
This webinar will be a discussion and peer to peer learning experience on best practices in contract transparency, emblematic cases, challenges and future tasks in the region.
