Based in Dakar, Senegal, Adrian is Managing Director of ESS (Environmental and Social Sustainability), a leading implementation-focused ESG and sustainability advisory services firm servicing Africa and emerging markets.
Adrian possesses over 20 years of experience in the ESG and sustainability sector, managing compliance for internationally-significant projects across Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
Adrian and the ESS team provide ESG and sustainability support to investors and corporates, focused on implementation of best practice in Africa and emerging economies. Together, they support investors and corporates to translate words to action, implementing key international standards, frameworks and guidelines (i.e. the IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles and numerous others) in a variety of sectors, including mining, energy and renewables, infrastructure (road, rail, airports, ports etc.), manufacturing, construction, agriculture and tourism.
Adrian has been recognised as a 'Chartered Environmentalist' and 'Chartered Scientist' by the Institute of Environmental Sciences in the UK.
