The Board lifted Albania's suspension
In accordance with the EITI Standard, Albania's suspension is lifted following the publication of their 2019 and 2020 EITI Report.
Board decision
The EITI Board temporarily suspended Albania on 8 October 2023 for failing to publish their 2019 and 2020 EITI Report by the deadline of their second extension of 30 June 2023. In accordance with the EITI Standard, it was agreed that the suspension would be lifted if the EITI Board is satisfied that the outstanding EITI Report was published within six months of the deadline.
The Secretariat can confirm that Albania published its 2019, 2020, 2021 Report on 7 October 2024. Thus, the condition for lifting the suspension has been met and the decision has been published.
