Hannah Sophie Kaase

Hannah Sophie provides support to EITI implementing countries in Europe, including Albania, Armenia, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Ukraine and the UK. She also supports the work of the EITI Board’s Outreach and Candidature Committee.

Prior to joining the EITI, Hannah Sophie completed the German Young Professional Programme by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), focusing on resource efficiency and environmental policies. During her three assignments, she supported the BGR (German Geological Survey) project on sustainable mineral resource use in Namibia, worked at UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) in Brussels on their resource portfolio, and assisted BMZ’s Sustainable Transformation of Global Supply Chains Division.

Hannah Sophie holds a master’s degree in Human Geography with a specialisation in Development and Politics from the University of Oslo. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, running and listening to Afrobeats.
