Suriname is not eligible for an extension of the reporting deadline for fiscal year 1 January - 31 December 2022. The deadline for the publication of the outstanding report remains 31 December 2024, and the country be temporarily suspended.
In accordance with Article 2, Section 1, Part 2 of the 2023 EITI Standard, the suspension will be automatically lifted if the EITI Board is satisfied that the outstanding EITI Report is published within six months of the deadline (i.e. by 30 June 2025). If the outstanding report is not published by 30 June 2025, the suspension will remain in force until the EITI Board is satisfied that the country has met the Requirement 4.8 on data timeliness.
