Patricia Pinto Arenas

Patricia Pinto Arenas is a social communicator and journalist, Associate of the NGO Descosur, researcher and consultant in communication and citizen engagement. She is responsible for the NGO's Advocacy and Communication Unit, where she has been working for 14 years. As part of her responsibilities, she represents the institution in different professional networks and working groups. She participates as a member of the EITI Regional Commission of Arequipa province in Peru since its creation in 2016, as a full civil society representative. She is the author of seven publications as part of the project “Vigila Minero”. She contributes with articles on different topics for Perú Hoy, Revista Quehacer, Boletín Nosotras and other institutional publications. Patricia is an experienced lecturer on topics related to transparency, accountability and citizen engagement.
