Themba Mkhwanazi

Themba was appointed CEO of Bulk Commodities in January 2022. Prior to his appointment, he was CEO of Kumba Iron Ore, part of the Anglo American Group, from 2016 to 2021. In addition to his position as a member of the Anglo American Group Management Committee therefore, Themba also serves as a non-executive director on the Kumba Board. Themba has extensive experience in the resources industry, including 18 years in his native South Africa, as well as in the US and Australia. Themba is a Vice President of the Minerals Council of South Africa.
