The Board agreed that the Secretariat would write a letter to the Yemeni government, asking them to voluntarily withdraw from the EITI.
The EITI Board decided to suspend Yemen on 26 February 2015 due to political instability. The situation has unfortunately not improved since then and the Board considered it unlikely that the conditions for implementation would return as required by the EITI Standard.
