On 30 November 2023, the Board concluded that Tajikistan has achieved "mostly met" on EITI Requirements 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 on government, company, and civil society engagement, and "partly met" on Requirements 1.4 and 1.5 on multi-stakeholder oversight and work planning.
The assessment of Tajikistan’s progress in implementing Requirement 1 of the EITI Standard commenced in January 2023. The assessment was mandated by the EITI Board in line with Board decision 2022-34.
