National EITI secretariats and multi-stakeholder groups in EITI implementing countries are granted rights to use the EITI name and logo in their own materials.
This includes the right to develop and use a national derivative version of the EITI name and logo. The EITI encourages such use and will support national secretariat’s work to develop a national EITI name and logo. The EITI International Secretariat may be consulted before starting to use or changing a derivative version of the EITI name and logo.
Countries that are preparing to launch an application for EITI candidature [guidance note] may request to develop and use a national derivative version of the EITI name and logo. Use of the EITI name and logo before being accepted as EITI candidate must never imply that the country is recognised as one of the EITI implementing countries. This can be addressed, for example, by employing an interim name, such as "Preparatory group for [Country] EITI".
The rights to use the EITI name and logo, including derivative versions, are withdrawn if a country’s EITI candidate or compliant status is revoked by the EITI Board.
The EITI Secretariat grants Supporters of the EITI a limited right to use its name and logo. The following entities are recognised as EITI Supporters:
