Statement of support
Engagement with the EITI
FAR’s corporate focus is investing in African exploration and development projects for oil and gas. Its core project is in Senegal. FAR strives to support the application of transparency policy to ensure positive foreign investment, infrastructure, capacity building and economic growth in the countries where it operates. The company is part of the multi-stakeholder group (MSG) in Senegal.
Strengthening transparency
FAR’s commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standard is guided by the PEARL (People, Environment, Assets, Reputation and Legal) principle. PEARL is embedded throughout its organisation, from the most detailed Health, Safety and Environment plan on a rig, to its risk management process, to the social investments the company makes in its host countries.
FAR is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. The Australian Securities Exchange Listing Rule requires companies to disclose the extent to which they have complied with the best practice recommendations of the ASX Corporate Governance Council. It is also a priority that these policies are consistent with FAR’s objectives of being a respected part of the multi-stakeholder groups where the company operates.
