EITI – disclosing critical investment information

The EITI Standard requires that countries publish information on licensing, production, state ownership, how much each company pays in taxes, royalties and bonuses, broken down by project and type of payment, transfers to local governments and social and infrastructure investments. It encourages contract transparency and disclosure of beneficial ownership of extractive industry companies.

Timor-Leste Validation 2018

On 14 February 2018, the EITI Board found that Timor-Leste addressed all corrective actions and had made satisfactory progress in implementing the 2016 EITI Standard. See decision 2018-15/BM-39/BP-39-5-H

In this second Validation the EITI International Secretariat has assessed the progress made in addressing the ten corrective actions established by the EITI Board following Timor Leste’s first Validation in 2016. See more under background below.

Chad Validation 2018

On 8 May 2019, Chad was found to have made meaningful overall progress in implementing the EITI Standard. See Board decision 2019-38/BC-273

Validation commenced on 1 September 2018.

A country visit took place on 8-11 October 2018.

The International Secretariat's initial assessment was completed on 24 January 2019. 

The draft Validation report and initial assessment was circulated to the MSG on 13 February 2019. 

The final Validation report was issued on 25 March 2019.

Cette boite à outils comprend un document d’introduction expliquant ce que signifie l’intégration dans la pratique ; elle inclut également un outil permettant d’évaluer quelles divulgations sont effectuées de manière systématique et fournit quelques exemples de la façon dont certains pays ont intégré certains aspects de la Norme ITIE.
