Background
The Government of Mozambique has applied for financing from the Norway Royal Embassy and CIDA respectively toward the cost of the second phase of Mozambique Extractive industries Transparency Initiative Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services to hire an Independent Administrator to Prepare and Reconcile the Third EITI Report.
The service includes the following tasks:
- collect and reconcile all material payments made by relevant companies and payments received by Government for the 2010 fiscal year in relation to the extractive industry activities in Mozambique;
- production of a scoping report to determine the companies and payments to be covered by the reconciliation report and;
- hold a capacity building workshop for participating extractive companies and Government agencies on how to correctly complete reporting templates.
The services should be executed within the maximum period of fourteen (14) weeks after the signature of the contract.
The Mozambique EITI Secretariat now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011 edition).
