EITI Progress Report 2024

EITI launches 2024 EITI Progress Report

Flagship report highlights innovations and developments driving progress across the EITI’s strategic priorities.

The EITI today launched its flagship 2024 EITI Progress Report, highlighting pivotal developments and activities driving progress across the organisation’s strategic priorities. These include assisting countries, companies and civil society organisations in leveraging transparency to tackle corruption risks, strengthen domestic revenue mobilisation and navigate the energy transition.

“The EITI is operating in an increasingly uncertain and fractured landscape,” said Rt Hon. Helen Clark, EITI Board Chair, in her foreword. “In this context, the EITI’s mission is as relevant today as it was at its foundation over 20 years ago. This Progress Report highlights examples of how stakeholders are putting transparency into action by leveraging EITI data to strengthen oversight, improve governance, and adapt to emerging challenges.”

The report further showcases innovations and progress in EITI implementing countries, as well as leading practices in key areas of extractive sector management including contract transparency, revenue monitoring and community engagement.

“The progress outlined in this report is a testament to the dedication of our implementing countries, supporters and partners, whose collective efforts continue to drive transparency and accountability in the extractive sector,” said Mark Robinson, EITI Executive Director.

The report is available in an immersive digital format, accessible via mobile or desktop on the EITI website.
