The EITI's stakeholders are invited to the Constitution Meeting of the EITI Association. The meeting will take place at the Ritz-Carlton, Doha, 16 February 2009 at 15:30. The purpose of the meeting is to constitute the EITI Association, a non-profit association organised under Norwegian law.

The meeting will be chaired by the Chair of the outgoing EITI Board, Peter Eigen. French and Russian translations of this invitation will be available on Monday 9 Feb.
Agenda for the EITI Constitution Meeting- Background to the new legal structure of the EITI, Jonas Moberg, Head of the EITI Secretariat and Christian Fredrik Michelet, Legal Counsel to the EITI Secretariat.
- Resolution to constitute the EITI Association and adopt the attached Articles of Association.
The EITI Constitution Meeting is open to all of the EITI's stakeholders.
Immediately after the EITI Association has been constituted, an EITI Members' Meeting will be held.
Agenda for the EITI Member's Meeting- To elect EITI Board Members, and Alternates for each EITI Board Member, to the EITI Board on proposal from the Constituencies.
- To elect the EITI Chair on proposal from the outgoing EITI Board.
The Constituencies should inform the Secretariat (lkrogsund@eitransparency.org) about Members the Constituencies wish to register no later than 14 February 2009. All of the EITI's stakeholders are welcome to attend the Members' Meeting, but only Members appointed by their Constituencies are entitled to vote.
