Abdelkarim Akasar

Mr. AKSAR was technical advisor to the Prime Minister of Niger before joining the EITI-Niger as National Coordinator. He holds a degree in Geological Engineering from the École Polytechnique de Montréal and has more than 30 years of experience in mining research, operations and administration. Prior to his current position, he has also worked as Chief Operating Officer of the Niger Mining Company (Société Minière du Niger), Technical Director of the National Mineral Resources Office (Office National des Ressources Minières) and Director of the Niger Uranium Ltd uranium research project.
