Jessica Buendía Sánchez
Country Officer – Latin America & the Caribbean
Jessica is a country officer leading EITI implementation support to the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, and Suriname. Jessica previously supported the disclosure team and the assessment of EITI supporting companies.
Prior to joining EITI, she worked for the Norwegian Solidarity Committee with Latin America as a junior consultant researching Norwegian investments in the region. She has also conducted research for several organisations, including the European Institute of the Mediterranean, Norwegian Church Aid, and the Colombian Peace Commission.
Jessica has a background in political science and holds a MPhil in Global Development from the University of Bergen. In her free time, Jessica enjoys exploring learning musical anthropology, reading and learning new languages.
