Melina Ackermann

Intern – Energy Transition Support

Melina is an intern supporting EITI International Secretariat’s work on the energy transition.

Prior to joining the EITI, Melina supported the German Corporation for Development Cooperation’s impact analysis of GIZ’s project portfolio in the extractives sector. Her thematic focus areas at GIZ included the EITI, anti-corruption, human rights and gender in the mining sector. She gained research experience as an overseas consultant at the London School of Economics and Political Science and as a research assistant for the Centre for Science & Security Studies (CSSS).

Melina has a background in international relations and holds a dual Master’s degree in International Peace & Security (Sciences Po Paris) and Human Rights & Humanitarian Action (King’s College London). Her interests include reading and painting.
