Dr. Óscar Pineda is Senior Researcher and Community Organizing Coordinator at the Project on Organizing, Development, Education and Research (PODER), where he facilitates community research and organization processes with grass roots organizations in areas affected by extractives projects. He is also part of the Group of Civil Society Organizations involved in the EITI implementation process in Mexico where he works alongside all MSG and CSO members to improve corporate transparency and accountability. He has a Master's degree in International Cooperation for Development from the Instituto de Investigaciones Dr. José Ma. Luis Mora in Mexico and a PhD in International Relations from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in Mexico.
