Nyasha Vera
Communications Officer – Opening Extractives
Nyasha is a Communications Officer supporting the global communications on the implementation of the EITI Opening Extractives programme in partnership with Open Ownership, which focuses on beneficial ownership transparency of extractive companies across ten countries including Argentina, Armenia, Ghana, Mongolia, Nigeria, Senegal, Indonesia and Zambia.
She has previously worked as a Communications Advisor in nuanced communication for development between Norway and Southern Africa. She has vast experience in public policy, international relations, corporate social responsibility, inclusion and capacity building. She has volunteered with Deloitte on their first DE&I mentoring program and is currently a council member of the US Embassy Oslo Advisory Council.
Nyasha holds a Bachelors Honours degree with distinction and Masters from Oslo Metropolitan University. Her personal interests include voluntary work, archery and hiking.
