On 16 October 2019, the EITI Board agreed that Mozambique has made 'meaningful progress' overall, with considerable improvements across individual requirements. Progress in addressing 14 corrective actions will be assessed in a third Validation commencing on 16 April 2021. See Board decision 2019-57/BM-45

This is the Mozambique EITI 2017-2018 Annual Progress Report (in accordance with Requirements 7.4. and 8.4.) in Portuguese. The report assesses progress made by the country against the EITI requirements, and reviews the outcomes and impact of EITI implementation on natural resource governance.
The Board concluded that Mozambique is ineligible for an extension of the reporting deadline for their 2015-2016 EITI Report. The Board noted that the delayed report was published on 12 February 2018. In accordance with previous practice, the suspension was not enforced.

Mozambique's Validation commenced on 1 January 2017. On 25 October 2017, the EITI Board found that Mozambique has made meaningful progress in implementing the 2016 EITI Standard.
