Objectives
The objectives of this session included:
- Reminding countries in the region what is required by Requirement 2.5 and the underlying objective
- Taking stock of beneficial ownership transparency in the region based on the questionnaire sent to the TD countries
- Providing an opportunity for countries to present their progress and challenges in engaging stakeholders and establishing a legal framework
- Identifying aspects of the requirement to be addressed in future workshops
