The Board concluded that Nigeria is not eligible for an extension of the Validation deadline. Nigeria’s Validation will begin on 1 January 2023. However, recognizing the tense environment that surrounds elections in Nigeria, the Board noted that the period of stakeholder consultation should be extended accordingly.
