Melina is an intern supporting the assessment of progress in meeting Expectations for EITI supporting companies. She also previously supported the EITI International Secretariat’s work on energy transition.

Prior to joining the EITI, Melina supported the German Corporation for Development Cooperation’s impact analysis of GIZ’s project portfolio in the extractives sector. Her thematic focus areas at GIZ included the EITI, anti-corruption, human rights and gender in the mining sector. She gained research experience as an overseas consultant at the London School of Economics and Political Science and as a research assistant for the Centre for Science & Security Studies (CSSS).

Melina has a background in international relations and holds a dual Master’s degree in International Peace & Security (King’s College London) and Human Rights & Humanitarian Action (Sciences Po Paris). Her interests include reading and painting.
