The Board agreed that Awa Marie Coll-Seck, Minister of State and Chair of the Senegal-EITI is to succeed Marième Diawara Thiaw, Permanent Secretary/Coordinator, EITI Secretariat, Senegal, from the constituency of implementing countries as alternate Board member.

The Board had suspended Madagascar on 1 February 2019 for missing the deadline for the 2017 annual progress report. The Board agreed that “the suspension will be lifted if the EITI Board is satisfied that Madagascar has published its 2017 annual progress report.
The Secretariat can confirm that Madagascar published this report on 29 April 2019 and thus the suspension was lifted. The report also covers the year 2018 and is available here
This is Mexico's first EITI Report, covering the fiscal year of 2016 for its extractive industries.
The EITI Board adopted a revised EITI Open data policy (see Annex 1 of the paper attached below).
The Board-approved EITI Open data policy is part of the EITI Standard and has been an important reference for implementing countries in their open data efforts. The revised policy reflects various developments in the open data field and the Board’s encouragement of systematic disclosure by companies and government. It also addresses stakeholder feedback and challenges encountered in implementing countries as documented in Validation.
