The Board had suspended Madagascar on 1 February 2019 for missing the deadline for the 2017 annual progress report. The Board agreed that “the suspension will be lifted if the EITI Board is satisfied that Madagascar has published its 2017 annual progress report.
The Secretariat can confirm that Madagascar published this report on 29 April 2019 and thus the suspension was lifted. The report also covers the year 2018 and is available here

The EITI Board adopted a revised EITI Open data policy (see Annex 1 of the paper attached below).
The Board-approved EITI Open data policy is part of the EITI Standard and has been an important reference for implementing countries in their open data efforts. The revised policy reflects various developments in the open data field and the Board’s encouragement of systematic disclosure by companies and government. It also addresses stakeholder feedback and challenges encountered in implementing countries as documented in Validation.

The Board approved the final changes to the 2016 EITI Standard. The updated Standard will be formally adopted and launched the at the 43rd Board meeting in Paris.
The changes that were agreed by the Board in Kyiv are indicated in blue, while further edits proposed by the Implementation Committee that were put to the Board for approval in Board circular 272 are indicated in red.
The Board also approved the inclusion of supporting companies expectations (see decision 2018-40/BM-40) in the 2019 EITI Standard.
