Engagement with the EITI

ArcelorMittal has been supporting the EITI since 2009. ArcelorMittal is a member of the multi-stakeholder group of the Liberian EITI (LEITI) which was reconstituted in 2018. Previously ArcelorMittal Liberia supported the establishment of the Liberian EITI (LEITI) in 2009 and is an active member on the multi-stakeholder group today.  The company also supports the implementation of the EITI in Kazakhstan through their membership in the Association of Mining and Metallurgical Industry of Kazakhstan.

Through the years 2013-2016 ArcelorMittal has had representation on the EITI International Board. Today its corporate team actively participates in the EITI Mining Sub-Constituency forum, managed by the ICMM. 

Financial contribution to the EITI

ArcelorMittal contributed USD 15,000 in 2017.
