Statement of support

Sustainability Report 2011
In line with the Corporation’s policy on transparency, through our participation in the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), we support the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), a global initiative whose goal is to build partnerships in developing countries to strengthen government transparency and accountability.

Engagement with the EITI

Codelco strongly supports the international agenda promoting transparency of the extractive industries especially: higher standards on conflict of interest, permanent auditing of non-tendered procurement and publication of relevant information on its website.
