KAZ Minerals

KAZ Minerals is the largest copper producer in Kazakhstan. The company operates the Bozshakol open-pit mine in the Pavlodar region of Kazakhstan, the Aktogay open-pit mine and three underground mines in the East Region of Kazakhstan. The company also operates the Bozymchak open-pit mine in the Kyrgyz Republic. KAZ Minerals is listed in London and Kazakhstan.

KAZ Minerals believes that increasing transparency of tax and royalty payments builds trust, helping governments and local communities to understand the mutual benefits of natural resource extraction, and how that economic value is distributed between KAZ Minerals various stakeholders.

KAZ Minerals became an EITI supporting company in 2019. The company is committed to supporting the implementation of the EITI Standard in countries where it operates and to promoting transparency throughout the extractive industries.
