High activity around Board meeting in Kinshasa and Brazzaville in mid-April.
The minutes of the 13th Board Meeting held on 19 – 20 October 2010 in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, are now available. During the meeting, board members approved candidate applications for Indonesia and Togo, making them the 32nd and 33rd countries presently implementing the EITI. Board members also discussed the final validation reports and the status of six countries, including: Cameroon, Gabon, Ghana, Kyrgyz Republic,
The international Board of the EITI is meeting in Naypyidaw, Myanmar on 14 and 15 October.
They will discuss the progress with implementation of the EITI’s transparency requirements in the 46 countries that are currently implementing the EITI. The board will decide whether Chad and Indonesia can be recognised as ‘Compliant’ with the requirements of the EITI. It will also assess applications for EITI ‘Candidature’ from Colombia and United Kingdom.
