The Board agreed to lift Mexico's suspension.
Decision on Mexico's suspension
The EITI Board temporarily suspended Mexico on 13 February 2020 for failing to publish its 2017 and 2018 EITI Reports. In accordance with the EITI Standard, it was agreed that the suspension would be lifted if the EITI Board is satisfied that the outstanding EITI Report was published within six months of the deadline. The Secretariat can confirm that Mexico published its 2017 and 2018 EITI Reports in May 2020. Civil Society constituency included observations to these reports which were made public through the EITI website in June 2020. Thus, the condition for lifting the suspension has been met.
