Papa Alioune Badara Paye

Geological Engineer by education, M. PAYE started his career at the NOC PETROSEN in 2006 as Engineer in Training. He moved to Randgold Resources in 2007 then to Sabodala Gold Operations where he held various positions such as production engineer, short-term and medium-term planning engineer at the Sabodala gold mine in Kédougou from 2008 to mid- 2012.

Employed by the company ICS (phosphate mine) as Head of GIS until September 2013, he joined Grande Cote Operations (GCO) as a senior engineer in charge of planning for the exploitation of mineral sands.

Currently Deputy Permanent Secretary of CN-ITIE Senegal, which Mr. PAYE joined in August 2015, he is responsible for analyzing data related to the extractive industries and building capacities of the National Committee and stakeholders in terms of collection, production, analysis and dissemination of extractive sector data.

Mr. PAYE also holds an MBA in Fiscal Law and a Certificate in Oil, Gas & Mining Governance (Oxford Blavatnik Governance School).
