Board decision
The Board agreed the following at their 58th meeting on 29 November:
- That the EITI International Secretariat should publish each supporting companies’ individual assessment results in PDF form on each company’s EITI webpage.
- That the EITI International Secretariat should follow up to individual supporting companies not fully meeting the Expectations to explain how they can make further progress in meeting the Expectations and to encourage such further progress. Companies with representatives on the EITI Board that were assessed as not fully meeting the Expectations voluntarily agree to provide a response to the Secretariat. The Secretariat will ask companies to provide their responses by the end of February 2024. The Secretariat will publish the responses received prior to the end of May 2024.
- That the EITI International Secretariat should update the Guidance on the Expectations.
- The timing of the next EITI International Secretariat-led assessment of company progress in meeting the Expectations, with the next assessment scheduled to commence approximately 9 months ahead of the next ordinary EITI Members’ Meeting and publication of individual company assessment results planned 2-3 months before the meeting.
