Lyydia re-joined the EITI in September 2018 as Validation Manager to support the EITI’s quality assurance process and the Validation Committee. She also supports policy work, especially on topics related to tax avoidance and evasion. Lyydia previously supported EITI implementation in Anglophone and Lusophone Africa from 2013 to 2016. She also managed the 2016 EITI Global Conference.
Her previous work experience includes working with Kepa, a Finnish platform for development NGOs, as a policy advisor on tax justice and corporate accountability.
Lyydia holds a MSSc in Development Studies from the University of Helsinki. She has also conducted research on the EITI in Mozambique. Her professional interests include promoting responsible tax practices and human rights in business. In her free time, she is passionate about good short stories, contemporary dance and exploring ways to travel without flying.
