Marie Gay Alessandra Ordenes
Gay leads the EITI’s implementation support work in Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific. She also leads the International Secretariat's work on contract transparency and parliament engagement, and provides support on policy work, including beneficial ownership and artisanal small-scale mining.
Prior to joining the Secretariat, she was the National Coordinator of Philippine EITI. She is a lawyer by profession with expertise in public policy, anticorruption and extractive sector governance. She has extensive public service experiencefrom the Philippines, having worked as a technical and legal adviser for the Office of the President and as an appellate court attorney.
Gay earned her LL.B and B.A. in Political Science from the University of the Philippines.
