The EITI is pleased to welcome Avocet Mining as the latest EITI Supporting Company.
Avocet Mining PLC is a gold mining and exploration company listed on London Stock Exchange and on Oslo Børs. The company's principal activities are gold mining and exploration in Burkina Faso (as 90 per cent owner of the Inata gold mine and 100 per cent owner of eight exploration licences in the Bélahouro region surrounding Inata) and exploration in Guinea and Mali. All three of these countries are currently implementing the EITI standard.
On its public website Avocet Mining has issued a statement of its support to the EITI. With Avocet Mining, there are now 61 oil, gas and mining companies that support the EITI on the international level.
