Decision reference
2020-24 / BC-287
Decision basis
2016 EITI Standard, Requirement 8.6 - Suspension

The EITI Board temporarily suspended Mozambique on 13 February 2020 for failing to publish its 2017 EITI Report, while recognising the Government’s and MSG’s commitment to make progress on meeting the deadline. In accordance with the EITI Standard, it was agreed that the suspension would be lifted if the outstanding EITI Report is published within six months of the deadline. The Secretariat can confirm that Mozambique published its 2017/2018 EITI Report in February 2020. Thus, the condition for lifting its suspension has been met.
